Art Storage

HIZKIA Denmark provides state-of-the-art fine art storage backed by over 50 years of expertise. Our purpose-built facility in Greve near Copenhagen (8,000 m²) combines high-security systems with advanced climate-controlled storage, ensuring optimal art preservation under stable, museum-standard conditions.

Dedicated storage areas accommodate artworks with varying requirements. A fully bonded, customs‑authorised warehouse offering short‑ and long‑term storage with duty and VAT suspended, is supported by expert customs advice.

Our facility meets high security classifications, offering maximum protection for valuable collections, while energy-efficient design and low-lux LED lighting support sustainable art storage.

In addition to storage, we offer bespoke transport crates, including climate-controlled and reusable solutions such as the Turtle. Our on-site carpentry workshop enables fully customized packing for paintings, sculptures, and installations.

Clients also benefit from a secure private viewing room for inspection, condition reporting, and photography, with direct access to storage for maximum discretion and efficiency.

Together, these integrated services create a true one-stop solution, covering storage, handling, packing, and transport under one roof.

Vi tilbyder også professionel kunsttransport i Danmark samt specialiseret håndtering af kunstværker. Vores logistikløsninger dækker både national og international transport, hvor sikkerhed, præcision og diskretion er i fokus.

ISO 9001 is a standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system. It helps businesses and organizations to be more efficient and improve customer satisfaction. These are key values for HIZKIA and we are proud to be certified ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 in Copenhagen.

We also follow the European standards for packaging and transport of Cultural Heritage. The development of the Standards EN 15946:2011 and EN 16648:2015 is a corporation between European conservators, museum professionals, insurance agents and Fine Art transporters in the European standardizing project for Conservation of Cultural Heritage (CEN TC 346). By following these standards HIZKIA take part in the preservation of our global cultural heritage ensuring a safe handling of art.
